Over the last few weeks I’ve been deep in CAD, sim, and rapid prototyping for a few client projects. FEA and motion studies give us confidence early on, but the moment you hold the part in your hand or assemble it with the real mating components — that’s where the real insights happen.

Some of the biggest design improvements happen when:

You feel how two parts interact under load

You notice a subtle tolerance or fit issue

You see how the user naturally grips or uses the product

Digital → Physical → Iterate.

It’s not old-school — it’s efficient product development.
If you’re designing something that needs to perform, feel right, or survive real-world use, prototypes aren’t optional — they’re where the magic happens.
